Using a travel checklist will allow you to save time and money by being fully prepared, whether traveling domestically or internationally. The travel checklist below will help to do just that.

DOMESTIC TRAVEL:

  • Driver's licenses
  • Second ID
  • Emergency Information (medical, itinerary, relatives)
  • Insurance cards (medical and auto) 
  • Credit Cards and cash
  • Green Card or document for Lawful Permanent Resident for non-citizen 
  • Notarized travel permission letters for minors traveling without their parents
  • Medication needed for trip only (do not bring excess)

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL:

  • U.S. Passport for international
  • Driver's licenses or second ID
  • Proof of vaccinations for all persons traveling
  • Entry documentation for the country(s) to be visited (e.g. visas)
  • Receipts or registration paperwork for any new electronics, such as a camera or laptop (for items over six months old, disregard)
  • Proof of rabies vaccinations for dogs or other pets if they are traveling
  • Appraisals or receipts if traveling with a lot of new jewelry
  • An envelope to put all the receipts for purchases
  • Photocopies of important documents
  • Medication needed for trip only (do not bring excess)
  • Credit cards and cash
